Common questions

Ortus needs my location. Why?
To place the sun where you stand. Your location is used only on your device to compute the sun's position. It is never saved and never sent anywhere.

What does "read the sky" do with the camera?
It looks at one frame to estimate how much cloud is overhead, then discards it. Nothing is saved to your photos, written to disk, or sent anywhere.

Where is my data kept?
On your phone. Ortus has no accounts and no servers. Your light history, reminders, and settings never leave the device.
