Ortus
Privacy Policy
Ortus has no accounts and no servers. Nothing you record is sent anywhere.
Ortus keeps your records on your phone:
- The sun sessions you track or log, including where you were, how long, and what the sun was doing at the time.
- Your vitamin D blood test results, if you choose to enter them.
- Your skin type, your reminders, and your settings.
Your location is read to work out where the sun is where you stand, and it is saved with the sessions you record, so a session still means something when you look at it a year later. It is never sent anywhere.
If you use "read the sky," Ortus looks at one camera frame on your phone to estimate cloud cover. The frame is read in memory and discarded. It is never saved and never sent.
If you import from D Minder, the file you pick is read on your phone and those sessions are saved next to your own. If you export, the file goes wherever you send it. That is your choice, and it is the only way anything leaves Ortus.
Delete a session or a blood test in the app and it is gone from your phone.
Ortus does not sync or upload. If you use Apple's iCloud backup for your phone, that backup includes Ortus's records the same way it includes your other apps'. That is Apple backing up your own phone, not Ortus sending anything to us.
Ortus has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier, and no third-party code.
If you let it, Ortus reads your Time in Daylight from Apple Health, so light the watch on your wrist already noticed counts alongside the sessions you log by hand. It is read on your device. Nothing is written back to Health, and nothing is sent anywhere. Refuse access, or never turn it on, and Ortus uses only the sessions you record.
